Two generations of fluorite with a layer of amethyst nestled between them. The bottom of the specimen shows casts where either calcite or barite, more likely barite, weathered away.

This specimen just reminds me of a Christmas tree. The white byssolite adds great contrast to the green epidote crystals. I obtained this specimen at Geological Society of America conference at Virginia Tech.
