Description: occurs as small irregular masses and platy or scaly grains in veinlets distributed through black calcite from the Aurora mine (Treasure Hill)…The largest grains are less than 8 microns…strongly birefringent and anisotropic, showing color changes from cream white to medium gray…Associated minerals are todorokite (argentian), cryptomelane, pyrolusite, quartz and manganoan calcite
