Cretaceous, equigranular, medium-grained texture, often granophyric, alkali-feldspar granite, hosting microgranite autoliths.
Located 36 km southward from the city of Recife and 9 km SE from the city of Cabo de Santo Agostinho.
Miariolitic cavities are common (exsolution of a flowing phase under low lithostatic pressure).
Along the south border of the Cabo Granite, monzonites are in sharp contacts to the main granite facies.
Pseudotachylites dikes are frequent along the south and NE borders.
Porphyritic rhyolites dykes intrusive in granite are also frequent.
