A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 4 & in the NE¼ sec. 9, T17N, R13E, MDM, 1.2 km (0.8 mile) SSE of Old Man Mountain (coordinates of record), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
