Mine (Abandoned) - last checked 2021
Köppen climate type:

In 1905 it was owned by Craig and Ford (surnames), and was considered at the time the best mine on the goldfield. The lode was north-south trending of quartz and ironstone. 30 feet down the reef is 9 feet wide, averaging 30 dwt.

The mine did not produce a great deal. Officially 61 tonnes at 45 ounces, and a second period of 95 tonnes at 71 ounces.

By 1906, the shaft was down to 100 feet, on a pair of reefs showing laminated quartz with siliceous brown ironstone veins. Both reefs were said to have poor gold grades.

The Pinjin Main Lode Gold Mine was just north of the abandoned Anglo-Saxon open pit. GML 751R. It is reported in 1906 that some cuts have been made into the outcrop of a strong lode 3 to 4 feet wide of laminated dark quartz and brown iron oxide with a jasperoid appearance.
