Latitude & Longitude (decimal): -19.6723105473, 134.081951126

The Skipper gold mine adjoins the Westward Ho to the south-west, and the Arcadia mine to the east. No tracks or workings could be seen and the Mindat map is approximate.

Rudolph Schmidt formed a syndicate to develop the Westward Ho, and several other mines on the Tennant Creek goldfield in 1934. By 1938 the mine had produced 300 tonnes of ore for 617 ounces of gold. A rich crushing was reported in 1939.

Immediately after World War Two, Frank Johnson, Len Purkis and Fred Niven were working the mine. A year later Ernest (Toby) Becker was injured when he fell 20 feet down the shaft. Johnson's name is continued to be associated with crushings in 1949, along with Poloni (surname). Kathleen Weaber controls the mine in the early 1950's, the wife of an early Tennant Creek goldfield pioneer. Orinda Gold Mining Company purchases the Westward Ho and Arcadia mines in 1954.

Emmerson Resources in 2010 states the mine produced 922.70 ounces of gold between 1935-1955.
