A former small underground Pb-Ag-Au-Cu-Zn mine located in the NW ¼, sec. 12, T.20S, R.27E, about 2 miles N of Swisshelm Mountain, on the SE side of Limestone Hill, ¾ miles NW of Scribner, on federal land. Produced 1931-1935. Owned by Mr. Homer Bates (1952). Operated at times, or in part, by the Four Horse Mining Co. and the Apex Mining Co. Operators also included Robert Randall.

Mineralization is a replacement deposit with oxidized galena in small, irregular orebodies in a fault zone in Naco Group Limestone along a porphyry intrusive. Ore control was fault and fracture zones.

The mineralization is on the upthrust side of a NW-trending fault. The Pennsylvanian Naco Group strikes NW. NNW-trending thrust faults in the Swisshelms overthrust the Pennsylvanian Naco Group over rhyolite porphyry.

Workings include shallow prospect shafts and short tunnels totaling 150 feet. About 225 tons of ore were produced during 1934-1935 and 1938-1939. Production included under Mountain Queen for 1931, 1934, and 1935 in ABGMT-USBM files.
