As the Autobahn A9 between Bayreuth and Hof was expanded, at the Schiefe Ebene near Himmelkron nice Stilbite crystals were found in 1996 and 1997 during the workings.

Geology is green slate and Münchberg gneiss.

Locality completely built over and no more finds are possible.
