A former lode Au mine located in the NE¼ sec. 23 and in the NW¼ sec. 24, T7N, R10E, MDM, about 2.4 km NE of Drytown, S of Dry Creek, on private land. Property consists of 3 claims, totaling 10.25 acres. Operated by the W.F. Detert estate (1953). Operated during the period 1898 to 1900. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate. The ore body is pinch-and-swell in form at a thickness of 6.1 meters. There are 3 veins, one of which is especially distinguishable on surface for the entire length of the claim at 6 to 20 feet thick. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a vertical shaft 620 feet deep with 6 levels including over 1,000 feet of crosscuts.

A mill was erected in 1898 and the first bullion was shipped in February, 1899.
