A placer Au occurrence located in secs. 1, 11 & 12, T4N, R13E, MDM, about 3.35 km NW of Sheep Ranch and about 4.35 km E of Mountain Ranch, E of McKinney Creek, just N of the road. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a placer Au deposit with auriferous gravels in the NE¼ sec. 1 and in the NE¼ sec. 12 on folio 51; Au in the SW¼ sec. 11 in special report 40 and map GQ-222 (Hidden Cave). Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
