A former Au mine located in secs. 9 & 16, T13S, R37E, MDM, 2.2 km (1.3 miles) NNE of Keynot Peak (coordinates of record), on Bureau of Land Management wilderness land (Inyo Mountains Wilderness). Property consisted of 6 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 5,000 meters. UTM estimated; land unsurveyed. Location projected.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with a vein 1 to 4 feet thick, hosted in limestone. The ore body strikes E-W and dips 60N at a thickness of 1.22 meters. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of 3 tunnels at different elevations with the longest 400 feet on the vein.
