A former Cr mine located in sec. 18, T25N, R8E, MDM, 1.9 km (6,200 feet) WNW of Virgilia, along the East Branch North Fork Feather River, near its confluence with Rich Gulch, on National Forest land. Also located in secs. 22 & 34. Discovered by Mr. Jack Forth. Owned by Mr. Jack Forth and operated by S. R. Weeks (1943, 1944). Year of last production 1944. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).

Production data are found in: Rynearson (1953): 292. Most, if not all, ore came from the deposit in sec. 18.

Assay data: ore averaged 36.28% Cr2O3, 12.24% Fe; Cr to Fe ratio of 2.03:__. NOTE: data truncated by the MRDS database.
