A former Au occurrence/mine located in the S½S½ sec. 2, T6N, R4W, SBM, 2.0 km (1.3 miles) S of Silver Mountain (coordinates of record) (1.5 miles E of Sparkhule Mountain), W of Interstate highway 15, on private land. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated. This locality could be a group of NW-trending adits in the S½ of the section.

NOTE: The USGS MRDS database file presents MRDS file #10238146 as a related file; however, it pertains to another locality with a similar name.

Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 3 (Mojave Desert, Death Valley area, and Eastern Sierra Nevada).

Production data are found in: Bowen, O.E., Jr. (1954).

A small amount of Au was produced in 1933.
