A former Au-Cu occurrence/prospects/mine located in sec. 36, T12N, R2W and in the NW¼ sec. 1, T11N, R2W, SBM, 3.6 km (2.2 miles) WNW of the Mud Hills (coordinates of record) and 2.9 km (1.8 miles) S of Coolgardie Camp (site), along the NE margin of the hills, on private land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters. This property shows little promise.
Mineralization is hosted in quartz monzonite. The ore body strikes NW and dips 60S. The deposit is comprised of a 20 foot wide gossan zone with minor Cu-staining. Local rocks include Mesozoic gabbroic rocks, unit 2 (undivided) and/or Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of pits and shallow shafts.
