A former placer Au-Ag mine located in sec. 5, T4N, R9E, MDM, 7.2 km (4.5 miles) ENE of Dogtown, on the N shore of the Camanche Reservoir, near the dam. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

NOTE: The referenced MRDS database file provided a longitude coordinate at 120 degree+, which placed this locality high in the Sierra Nevada. That is inconsistent with all the remaining salient data in the file. Research of the coordinates for the center of sec. 5, T4N, R9E, MDM, revealed that the correct value is 121 degree+, which value is reflected in this file.
