A former Cr mine located 5.0 km (3.1 miles) N of Chorro.

Mineralization is hosted in rocks of the Monterey unit (dunite).

Local structures include volcanic and sedimentary rocks which are folded into a syncline that is roughly symmetrical about the ridge crest.
