A former Mn occurrence/mine located in the NW¼SW¼SW¼ sec. 12, T7S, R4E, MDM, 6.3 km (3.9 miles) E of Sugarloaf Mountain (coordinates of record), on the divide between Bollinger Canyon on the N and Arroyo Bayos on the S, W of Jumpoff Creek. Discovered in 1896. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

The deposit is a pocket of Mn ore. Local rocks include rocks of the Franciscan Complex, unit 1 (Coast Ranges).

Analytical data results: The ore grade is 57% metallic Mn.
