A Au occurrence/group of claims located in sec. 29, T36N, R6W, MDM, 1.3 km (4,300 feet) E of Brown Mountain (coordinates of record), along Clear Creek, near the Trinity County line. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
NOTE: The MRDS database file pertaining to this locality has an error in the latitude value. The file presents a value of 41°+ of latitude and contains geographic descriptive data placing the locality in Siskiyou County. The coordinates for the center of sec. 29 reveal that the correct value is 40°+, and was changed accordingly in this file, bringing the locality within Shasta County and within the stated T&R values.
Local rocks include Upper Cretaceous marine rocks, unit 2 (Klamath Mountains).
