A former lode Au mine located in sec. 6, T32N, R6W, MDM (section projected), 1.8 km (5,800 feet) S of Mad Mule Mountain (coordinates of record), on National Park Service land (Whiskeytown-Shasta-Trinity National Recreation Area). The property consisted of 12 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in andesite. The ore body is tabular, strikes E and dips N at a thickness of 1.83 meters. The deposit consists of a series of parallel veins 2 inches to 6 feet thick. They occur in an alaskite porphyry dike. An associated rock is granite. Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of 2 adits at 140 and 150 feet long. There are numerous prospect holes and opencuts.
