A reported Au occurrence located in sec. 4, T20N, R9E, MDM, 0.3 km (0.2 mile) SE of Poverty Hill (summit) and 3.1 km (1.9 miles) ENE of Poverty Hill (town), in the headwaters areas of Gold Run Creek and Rock Creek, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. The Bonanza claim lies to the E of the Iowa shaft. The area was leased to Blue Consolidated. Blue gravel located in sec. 33, T21N, R9E.
Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
