A former small surface and underground Cu-Ag-Au-Pb-Zn-Mn mine located in sec. 18, T.19S., R.7E. (protracted), 4 miles W of Baboquivari Peak. Produced 1900-1972. Owned at times, or in part, by the Ventana Mining Co.; Romed, Inc.; and the Arizona Mining Co.

Mineralization is partly oxidized base metal sulfides in a series of narrow quartz-calcite fissure veins along a strong fault zone cutting Cretaceous volcanics and metamorphosed sediments and Laramide intrusive.

Workings include open cuts, trenches and shallow shafts. Located in the early 1900's, but only worked sporadically to 1972 with a production of some 185 tons of ore averaging about 1.3% Cu, 2 oz. Ag/T and 0.7 oz. Au/T.
