Miniera di Sottocavallo, Valle Zucca, Ballabio, Lecco, Provincia di Lecco, Lombardia, Italia
The mine is on seven levels, with a central shaft, which allows the view of the sub-levels. It can be visited on request, by contacting the ticket office of the Pian dei Resinelli (phone +39 338 96 09 824); entry is not allowed for minors under the age of 13 age and unaccompanied minors. From this mine was extracted mainly baryte.
To reach the mine, you have to go to the twelfth bend in the road that climbs from the Resinelli to Ballabio. From this bend begins the path that leads to the mine, in about 15 minutes.
