A stone quarry complex on the northern end of Long Hill, at and just south of where the power lines pass of the crest. It followed a N-S trending outcrop of near vertically-foliated biotite-garnet gneiss known in the early 19th century as the "Allen vein". The gneiss is cross-cut by numerous thin, zoned pegmatite dikes similar to those described by Barton and Goldsmith (1968) further south along the same formation on Long Hill. Minerals reported from the quarry are those occurring in both the gneiss and in the pegmatites. The list provided by Williams (circa 1945) is the largely the same for the Allen vein quarries.
