Description: Sand, gravel, and silty clay deposited on wave-cut platforms above present sea level along San Pablo Bay.

Alluvial fan deposits

Age: Pleistocene (0.0117 - 0.126 Ma)

Description: Poorly sorted, moderately to poorly bedded sand, gravel, silt, and clay deposited in gently sloping alluvial fans. Age is indicated by erosional dissection and development of alfisols. These deposits are about 10% denser and have 50% greater penetration resistance than alluvial fan deposits unit Qhf (Clahan and others, 2000)
