That's an excerpt from an early publication on Wyoming districts, I think. At least it describes Sulphur Camp. Sulphur Camp is located approximately at lat-long coordinates: 44.672177 N, 109.650893 W; 1984 datum. The material I collected comes from "cobbles" or small boulders in the alluvial bed of Sunlight Creek, coordinates: 44.677609 N, 109.651494 W. The Creek drains a large area of the Absaroka Mountains just to the east of Yellowstone Park. Much of the bedrock consists of Eocene age volcanic andesites, of which I'm sure your piece comes. I collected promising looking vuggy pieces from the Creek bed, knowing they originate somewhere in the surrounding volcanic mountains. The Mountains themselves have limited access unless you're a serious hiker-climber. Also, much is "Wilderness" area where collecting is prohibited.
