Arguably the most scenic of Western Australia's mineral locations. From the deposit are extensive views along the coast, and inland across mangrove swamps to hills.
Cleaverville is 27 kilometres north-west of Roebourne. At the boat ramp, walk north up to the saddle between two hills. There are two deposits within 50 metres of each other. In the northern most, the turquoise is associated with iron stained matrix. As is typical with Australian turquoise the material is powdery rather than gemmy.
Bush camping is nearby.
