A magnesite occurrence located in the center SW¼ sec. 24, T4S, R2E, MDM, 6.2 km (3.8 miles) WSW of Mendenhall Springs, along the eastern slope of Rocky Ridge, on private land. Owned by Edward T. Sachu (1950). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Boulders lying about the site are nearly all of high-grade ore. It is possible that these are in place, being formed as a gradual replacement of serpentine. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 3 (Coast Ranges and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of tunnels and cuts.
No production was made. About 25 tons of magnesite were lying on the dumps (1925).
