A former Cr mine located in the W½SE¼ sec. 34, T6N, R10E, MDM, 2.1 km (1.3 miles) SE of Sunnybrook, E & S of Mountain Spring Creek, on private land. Owned by Frank and Rose Devencenzi (1953). During WWI Carr and Mefford operated the mine until 1918, when Leam, Furey and Ford leased the property. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of 4 open cuts, one of which is 65 feet long and from 1 to 3 feet wide. There are some underground workings, now largely caved.
Production figures vary, ranging from 94 long tone to 800 long tons. Official figure (94) includes only production for 1916, and the mine was in operation during the period 1917-1918. Probably production was approximate 400 long tons. About 3 tons of ore remained on the dump and 1 ton of shipping ore remains in sight of the workings.
