An Mn occurrence/prospect located in NE¼NE¼ sec. 4, T2N, R13E, MDM, 1.0 km (0.6 mile) SSW of Angels Camp, on private (patented) land. Discovered in 1942. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a bedded Mn deposit hosted in chert. The ore body strikes N45W and dips 60NE. A few fragments of low-grade Mn ore were present on the dump. The ore is mostly hard, blue-black psilomelane. Some is fairly high-grade and some contains considerable patches of flesh-pink chert. Grey phyllite or slate is the only rock exposed in the pit. The manganese bed is no longer exposed due to caving. Local rocks include undivided pre-Cenozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).

Workings include surface openings comprised of 1 old pity (10 feet by 6 feet and 3 feet deep (3 by 2 by 1 meters).

Analytical data results: The ore grade is 48% Mn.
