A former Cr mine located in sec. 38, T18S, R12E, MDM, 0.7 km (2,200 feet) ENE of Condon Peak (coordinates of record). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in serpentinite. The ore body is podiform and lenticular. Controls for ore emplacement included a shear zone. Much of the chromite was found in float boulders of serpentine found on the hillside. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 3 (Coast Ranges and Western Klamath Mountains).
Deposit contained high-grade ore.
