A former Au-Ag occurrence/mine located in sec. 32, T11N, R12W, SBM, 0.3 km (1,000 feet) SSE of Standard Hill (coordinates of record) (on the S slope of the hill) and 0.5 km (1,600 feet) NW of Gold Town (site). The property is comprised of 10 claims that include: the Antique; Antique Extension; Whitmore No. 2; Whitmore No. 3; Whitmore No. 4; Whitmore No. 5; Whitmore No. 6; Whitmore No. 7; Whitmore Extension; and the Valley. Owned by Whitmore Mines, Inc. (1949- ). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. Part of Tropico Mines holdings.

Mineralization is hosted in rhyolite and granite. The ore body strikes N30W and dips 60E at a thickness of 2.13 meters. Gangue minerals include quartz and pyrite. A series of minor faults (NW-SE) displace the vein, which varies from 3 to 10 feet. 4 parallel veins occur along rhyolite porphyry dikes. The veins range in thickness from 2 to 6 feet. An ore shoot that was developed was 700 feet long and 7 feet in thick. On the 300 foot level, the ore shoot apparently was broken into short lenses, that may have been wedges formed by faults. Similar conditions were encountered at the Tropico Mine. Local rocks include Tertiary intrusive rocks (hypabyssal), unit 7 (Northern Mojave Desert) and/or Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.

Workings include underground openings with a length of 304.8 meters and an overall depth of 91.44 meters and comprised of 3 shafts at 300, 280 and 100 feet deep. The 300 foot shaft had levels at 100 and 200 feet. A large part of broken ore was slabbed from the foot and hanging walls of old stopes that were widened from 6 fet to 10 feet.

Production data are found in: Tucker, W. Burling (1935).

Analytical data results: The ore from the 300 foot shaft had assays of $6-$50 (period values) Au-Ag/ton. The ore from the 100 foot shaft assayed at $10-$20 (period values) Au-Ag/ton.
