A former Au mine located in the N½S½ (estimated) sec. 30, T2N, R25E, MDM, 0.9 km (3,000 feet) SSE of Mount Scowden (SE summit of Mount Scowden; just E of May Lundy), on National Forest wilderness land (Hoover Wilderness). MRDS database accuracy for this locality is not stated.
Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 147 foot incline, drifts driven S 180 feet and N 120 feet, plus another drift from surface ran from the southern end of the property.
