A former Au mine located in the NE¼SW¼ sec. 19, T2N, R25E, MDM, 1.1 km (3,500 feet) N of Mount Scowden (on the mountain's N slope), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
The ore body is 3.05 meters thick. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface openings comprised of open cuts for a length of 600 feet.
Ore values were reported at $12 to $15/ton (period values).
