A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the SE¼ sec. 34 & in the SW¼ sec. 35, T16N, R11E, MDM, 3.8 km (2.4 miles) ESE of Midas, on the E canyon wall of the North Fork of North Fork American River (W slope of Sawtooth Ridge) (3 miles S of Blue Canyon [town]). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

NOTE: USGS MRDS database file #10164263 provides T&R values that place this locality in sec. 16, T16N, R11E, MDM; however, the geographic coordinates provided rather closely correspond with the coordinates provided in MRDS file #10103120. The T&R values presented in the former file are in error.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in Pennsylvanian slate. The ore body is comprised of numerous small stringers. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).

Workings include underground openings with a length of 609.6 meters and 30.48 meters and comprised of adits, a shaft, and drifts.
