A former lode Au-W occurrence/mine located in the SW¼ sec. 29, T2N, R3E, SBM, 1.4 km (0.9 mile) NNE of Doble and about 6.3 km NNE of Big Bear City, along the S wall of Cactus Flat (1.3 miles N of the N shore of Baldwin Lake), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in schist and granite. Local rocks include Carboniferous marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Mojave Desert) and/or Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 1 (Mojave Desert and Death Valley area).
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 24.38 meters and comprised of shafts at 20 & 80 feet deep, 100 feet apart, plus an open pit.
