A former lode Au mine located in sec. 3, T40N, R7W, MDM, 2.7 km (8,900 feet) ESE of Lovers Leap, in the headwaters area of Kangaroo Creek, 0.7 miles ESE of McCoys cabin, on National Forest land.
Mineralization is hosted in granodiorite (Mesozoic gabbroic rocks, unit 1 (Trinity Ophiolite)).
