A former lode Au mine located in sec. 19, T37N, R12W, MDM (land unsurveyed for township, range or section - projected), 1.2 km (4,000 feet) NW of ony Buttes in the headwaters area of an unnamed tributary of Slide Creek (1.2 miles S of the Marysville site), on Bureau of Land Management/National Forest wilderness land (Trinity Alps Wilderness). Discovered 1883. First produced in 1888. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in diabase, porphyry and granite. The ore body strikes E-W and dips 60N. Local rocks include undivided pre-Cenozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).

Workings include underground openings. The mine was developed by 6 levels varying from 60 feet to 700 feet in 1914. There were hundreds of feet of crosscuts. The property was equipped with a 3-stamp mill. The oldest of the old levels was known as the Clement level. More recent (1939) woprkings include a 300 foot crosscut adit 100 feet lower that strikes a 1 foot wide vein. The old workings level is on the vein for a depth of 400 feet on dip.

Production data are found in: Averill (1941). No other production record was found.
