A Cr occurrence located in the SW¼ sec. 10, and in sec. 15, T19N, R7E, MDM, 1.0 km (3,200 feet) E of Woodleaf, on National Forest land. Owned by A. G. Arbucco, Challenge, California. 1943 MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 to 1,000 meters.

Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains) and/or Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings included surface openings comprised of several prospect pits.

Production information: Approximately 15-20 long tons of ore were mined but not shipped from 6 of the prospect pits.

Analytical data results: Ore averaged 33% Cr2O3.
