A former Cu mine located in sec. 1, T15N, R5E and in sec. 35, T16N, R5E, MDM, 4.4 km (2.7 miles) ESE of Hammonton, N of Beale Air Force Base, and SE of McCartie Hill. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. NOTE: One MRDS file states that this locality is on military land; however, the topo map does not indicate that the boundary of Beale Air Force Base extends that far North.

Red oxide of Cu visible. Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range) and/or Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings. There is a shaft. Water is strongly impregnated with Cu.

Production information: No production reported. Extensively exploited in 1863.
