Large working limestone quarry on the Castleisland to Tralee road. A prominent north-south dolomite vein cuts across a disused section of the quarry. A prominent vug on this yielded many fine calcite specimens in 1997. Large vugs occur occasionally in the working part of the quarry, but access to the face is forbidden for safety reasons. All one can do is look at them from a distance and cry. Visits are by prior appointment only.
