Comments:Ubiquitous in the pegmatite, being the ore mineral sought here. Among the world's richest deposits of the mineral (20% of pegmatite). Hard to collect uncleaved crystals. Size reaches about twenty inches long by four inches wide, but most are less than six inches long.
Colour:Usually pale celery-green and opaque.
Quality for species:Good crystals or rich for species - important (!)
