A former underground Au-Pb-Ag-Cu mine. Discovered 1880. Produced 1905-1935.

Mineralization is a vein deposit with a tabular ore body. Ore control was faulting, shearing and igneous activity. Ore concentration was oxidation at near surface. Alteration was minor sericite along vein walls.

Area structures include veins parallel to mafic dikes which trend NE and dip at low angles, usually less than 40 degrees. Foliation in the Precambrian metamorphic rocks trends N10E to N25E. The granitic rocks are unfoliated.
