A granite pegmatite.

The muscovite consisted of small books, mostly below commercial size. A few of the books were as much as 4 inches in diameter. A large portion of the mica visible was creased, stained, cracked or wavy. Several hundred pounds of hand-cobbed muscovite are reported to have been mined from this location.
