A former lode Au mine located in secs. 18, 19 & 20, T5N, R12E, MDM, about 2.65 km (about 1.6 miles) SE of Mokelumne Hill (town), W of the North Fork Calaveras River and SW of the Lombardi Ranch. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges) and/or Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
