Localities: Reported from at least 9 localities in this region.
β“˜ Sillimanite
Formula: Al2(SiO4)O
Description: Occurs as random fibers, abundant in schist.
β“˜ Spessartine
Formula: Mn2+3Al2(SiO4)3
β“˜ Sphalerite
Formula: ZnS
β“˜ 'Wolframite Group'
β“˜ Wollastonite
Formula: Ca3(Si3O9)
Description: Steve Pullman's collection label indicates he obtained the flat from a trade with the California Academy of Sciences in January of 2006. Pictures of the larger specimen, Keith's business card and Pullman's label can be provided and will be posted after the mineral is added along with a few of the specimens since there are none currently posted. Visually, the Wollastonite looks correct. Also, under LW, fluoresces yellow, but not very strongly. Also in the flat are specimens of Andradite, Epidote, Scheelite, Calcite and Quartz.
