Aynak Cu deposit, Mohammad Agha District (Muhammad Agha District), Lowgar Province (Lawgar Province; Lawghar Province; Logar Province; Loghar Province; Lowghar Province), Afghanistan

Stratabound sedimentary-exhalative (SEDEX) type copper deposit, hosted in Vendian-Cambrian arkosic sandstones, dolomites, amphibolites, calcareous slate and quartz-albite rocks. The deposit covers an area of 40 km2 and is exploited from three sections.
