Outcrops and screes of metabasaltic breccia and glaucophane-bearing calcshists along the east slope of Monte Cotolivier (sometimes also indicated as Monte Catolivier or Nostre-Dame de Cotolivier due to the presence of the chapel of Notre-Dame de de la LumiΓ©re on its top). The most known area of occurrence is along the road connecting Oulx to Pierremenaud.
Note: a similar mineral locality is Roche Major, a spur on the northern slope of Monte Cotolivier.
