An iron mine in Magnetite ore. Located about 1 mile East of Wanaque at the foot of Ramapo Mtn. Ore vein was more than 12 feet (4 meters) wide. Featured a shaft 26 feet deep. Started 1874 and closed the winter of 1874-75. Reopened 1880.
