An Fe occurrence/prospect located in sec. 36, T8N, R11E, and in secs. 20, 29 & 30, T8N, R12E, about 2 miles WNW of Chalk Mountain, on National Forest land.

Mineralization is a replacement deposit with an irregular ore body. The ore zone is 4827.9 meters long, 609.6 meters wide, striking N55E and dipping 75NW. An associated rock unit is diabase.

Area structures include faulting that is evident in the area although no marked displacement of the iron formation was noted along the outcrop exained. Recemented boulders of fault debris containing inclusions of iron-bearing quartzite were noted along stream channels.

Assay data: Chemical analysis of samples contain: 18.6 to 31.8% Fe; 0.5 to 1.5% Mn; 37.8 to 57.1% SiO2; 0.03 to 0.1% P; 0.05 to 0.11% S; 2.6 to 7.6% TiO2; and 8.2 to 10.0% Al2O3.
