A prospected trench near Silver Lake, 9 km NE of Channing, Michigan. Located via publicly available aerial radiometric survey data and with permission of the landowner, the trench was excavated for several feet and found to contain a local abundance of uranium minerals. Microscopic inclusions of Au and Bi occur in uraninite in polished thin sections, and various U-secondaries coat mafic lenses in granite.
